Frequently Asked Questions
1. What does SEO stand for?
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization.
2. Why do I need SEO?
SEO is helpful in that it brings your webpage to the first page of search engine results, for both local and organic searches. Nine out of ten people make a decision on the first page of search results, so if your website does not appear there, customers may not find you.
3. Why is Video SEO important?
Video SEO helps search engines find videos. As search engines do not search within a video, SEO can help tag them correctly with keywords so that they can be found more easily.
4. What is the difference between Organic & Local SEO?
Organic SEO refers to search engine optimization for “organic” results. “Organic” results are those that are not paid advertisements, and do not have a geographic component attached to them.
Local SEO refers to search engine optimization for “local” results. Local results are those that are geographically linked to an area, so that users can find a business that is close to them.
5. What do I do if I'm not ranking in Google?
You may consult your most recent ranking report to see which keywords are ranking your business on the front page of Google Maps in your local area, or you may run your own up-to-the hour ranking report in your Back Office account. To emulate your ranking report results, or to search for your business on Google, please go to www.google.com, then click on "Maps" on the toolbar at the top of Google's homepage. Then, type one of your ten keywords into the search, along with the city you would like to search in. Please note, if your IP address originates from the city you would like to search in, you do not have to type that city name into the search.
